- Gave a presentation in English class about Groundhog's Day since none of the students, or my teacher, have heard of it - interesting fact: Groundhog's Day gets its roots from an old German tradition
- First semester ended and second semester began in School - this means that some of our teachers left and we have new ones (completely normal in the German school system)
- We got a new English teacher who is the sweetest person ever and can speak perfect English! She asked me to give a presentation about the American School system and I gave it on the day that my American friends came to school with me. It was a perfect class (and we were outside in the school garden on a beautiful day) and I'm glad my friends were there to add their input as well.
- My picture was in the newspaper because a group from the university came to my religion class at school and we participated in activities
- Made friends with one of the bus drivers - he absolutely CANNOT believe that I'm from America
- Went "bowling" with the entire grade and made some new friends
- Our family built a party room in the top of our barn and I painted the organization logo on the wall. For those who don't know, my host family owns a non-profit organization that uses rescue dogs to help search for and rescue people. All of our 6 dogs are rescue dogs and we typically have at least one dog training a week.
