Hello all!
I'm so ecstatic that you stopped by my blog to see what I'm up to! In Winter 2013, I applied for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program (CBYX) thinking that I had a one-in-a-million chance of getting in. However, I was taken by surprise when I received an email inviting me to a live semi-finalist interview. I couldn't believe it when I got the call a month later informing me of my acceptance! It was one of the most eye-opening, life-changing experiences! Lyndee's Travels is the blog that I kept about my days spent in Germany (330 total days!) but I have also been slowly updating the blog post-Germany.
So a little about me...
I caught the "travel bug" in the Summer of 2013 when my mother and I took a long-awaited trip to Ireland, Wales, England and France. Since then, I have been dreaming of exploring more of the world. When I found out about CBYX, a full scholarship to Germany, I HAD to apply. I graduated high school and attended college after returning from Germany. Yes, I spent a full bridge year in Germany and yes, I was technically back in high school again for the year ("high school" in English = "Gymnasium" in German). I experienced a whole new culture while living with a host family and became fluent in German. I didn't study German before I went to Germany, so it was a big adjustment.
I hope my blog inspires you to step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and explore the world!
Much much love,
Eure Lyndee
