I can’t believe that we only have two days left in Bad Laasphe! We have a busy couple of days left though! We have our last test in German classes tomorrow and a talent show Friday (which will hopefully be recorded). My train leaves at 10 am on Saturday and I will travel most of the way with one of my fellow CBYXers!
Yesterday, all of the students sang “99 Luftballoons” (a.k.a. 99 Red Balloons) in German but the lyrics were changed to fit camp. At the end we sang “Schaut nur her sir können fliegen…” which translates to “watch how they can fly…” at which point we threw Wasserbomes (water balloons) at the Teamers! It was quite fun! However, the teamers are now trying to prank us back even though we were put up to throwing water balloons by the teachers!
I got to go hammocking up on the mountain which made me miss my beautiful double tie-dye Grand Trunk hammock that I had to leave at home…..
- I’m about to leave our lovely “English bubble” and enter the real German world and
- I’m worried my bag will get lost and/or stolen and/or won’t make it to my new home until Monday
Liebe, Lyndee
