- Eat more fruit and veggies and drink a ton of water.
- Find out how to re-create your favorite take-away food at home.
- Revisit memorable childhood places (when you get back home from your host country, of course).
- Figure out what makes you tick, what you actually feel passionate about, and delve further into it. Never stop learning.
- Learn to reshuffle your schedule so you have more time for creative projects, and make sure you finish those projects.
- Pick a European city to visit this year (you're potentially already in one so pick a new one you haven't been to yet).
- Ride the scariest roller coaster you can think of.
- Find a form of exercise that you actually enjoy (instead of beating yourself up about missing the gym).
- Dance alone in your room or whenever you get the chance.
- Take a social media break.
- Delete people who still send you candy crush invites.
- Dive off the highest diving board.
- Also, jump into a pool/the sea/a lake fully dressed.
- Have dessert for breakfast and breakfast for dinner.
- Ditch phones when you’re eating with other people.
- Stop worrying about when to text someone you like. Don’t give into all those childish games.
- Sing out loud whenever you feel like it.
- Cry unashamedly.
- Worry less about what other people think.
- Give more compliments.
- Meet up with old school friends (when you get back to your home country - unless your old school friend come visit you).
- Clear out all the clutter in your room and clothes you no longer fit into.
- Write someone a love letter.
- Try a food you’ve never eaten before.
- Also, find out how high your spicy food tolerance really is.
- Frame treasured family photos.
- Treat your parents to dinner.
- Meditate, or at least try to.
- Walk to places: get off that crammed bus and stop driving and polluting the air further - let your feet do the moving.
- Don’t spend the entire weekend on Netflix - maybe limit it to one day.
- Dip your toes in a sea you’ve never been to before.
- Ask your grandparents about their childhood.
- Volunteer in your local soup kitchen.
- Learn to use Excel properly.
- Order your book and DVDs alphabetically (or any way you choose). Make a to-read and to-watch list.
- Do some crafty DIY hacks around your home to make the place more cosy.
- Learn a new language.
- Write letters, not texts.
- Don’t procrastinate.
- Be yourself and have the best year ever!
